My Philosophy
As a consulting dietitian, I educate people about food and nutrition so they can lead healthier, more energetic lives. My goal is to arm my clients with the proper knowledge and skills so they can feel confident about their food choices. I help my clients develop lifelong strategies to improve their nutrition on a daily basis. No 'diets' allowed!
Some rules to live by…
- Eat and drink to nourish your body. So what if diet pop has no calories…is it nourishing your body for good health and energy?
- Don't only look at food as calories…look at it as fuel for your body.
- Drink plenty of water. Think about what a wilted plant will do when you water it.
- Eat foods that rot. Think of all the preservatives that are in a pepperoni stick.
- Eat plenty of plant foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains) for healthy aging (this includes preventing wrinkles).
- Eat mindfully. Don’t stuff food in your mouth without thought and enjoyment.
- Sweat daily to regenerate your skin.
- Exercise to decrease stress and to improve your spirit.
- Cherish your friends and family.
- Respect yourself (positive self talk).
